Meet the Veterinarians & Team of Woodbury Animal Hospital in Woodbury, New York! We’re pleased to provide exceptional vet care for your pets!

Woodbury Animal Hospital is staffed with several licensed vet technicians with a broad range of clinical experience, including both specialty and general practice. There is also experienced non-technical staff who are skilled in assisting you and your pet. They contribute to the nursing care and comfort of your pet while in the hospital.

A compassionate and pleasant work environment has rewarded us with a staff that has been with Woodbury Animal Hospital for many years. This has enabled them to get to know the pets and clients very well. It makes the experience more personal.

Marc A. Franz, DVM

Dr. Franz received his DVM from Cornell University with Senior Awards in 1988 after graduating Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania. He opened Woodbury Animal Hospital in 1996 and has been supporting his clients and the community ever since. He has been involved with the Long Island Veterinary Medical Association, including holding the positions of President, Vice President and Chairman of the Ethics Committee over the years. Dr. Franz was extensively involved in the veterinary emergency response efforts at the World Trade Center. He has received numerous awards recognizing his service at Ground Zero and in the veterinary community.

Jennifer Mignone, DVM

Dr. Jennifer Mignone received her Bachelors of Science degree in Biology from Stony Brook University.  She then went on to complete her Veterinary degree from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine.  After graduation, Dr. Mignone came home to Long Island and completed a one year rotating general internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Long Island Veterinary Specialists.  She joined the Woodbury Animal Hospital family in 2007.  Her interests include internal medicine, dermatology, dentistry and ultrasound.  Dr. Mignone lives on the south shore of Long Island with her husband, two children and a multitude of furry family members.
